"I'm one of those regular weird people" - Janis Joplin

I love storytelling. I love laughing at ridiculous things and making (really bad) jokes. I love coffee, colour and the first day of summer. I'm married to a pretty wonderful guy named Jamie. We live in a cozy barn house with our 3 cats, Beans, Frankie & Posey and this year I’m going to plant the most beautiful garden here.

My background is in Film, Visual Arts, English and Counselling. you can see my counselling website here: The Creative Counsellor, I offer counselling for adults with ADHD, those navigating burnout/creative burnout, and grief. I also run Recraft Creative, where I offer resources, mentorship, gatherings & workshops for creatives & creatives with ADHD (Recraft is currently in flux, but things are a-flowin!) I am inclusive, body neutral, and neurodivergent-friendly. I’m a visual artist exploring grief - an active series I’m working on is GRIEF HOUSES as well as one around joy called “Sourcing Joy”.

I love art. I am constantly in awe of the way art portrays itself, by the way art helps to heal, to move, to express the things that feel inexpressible.

There is so much in the things we carry with us - our stories, our voices, everyday objects that can hold such meaning, how tiny pieces of photographic paper can be imprinted with so much memory - I love looking through my Nan's old photographs, and getting to know her when she was my age: hanging out in B.C. woods, sitting for a spell on mountains.  For me, photography has always been a way to make sense of the world & my place in it - it has been a gift of language, collaboration and deep expression.

I feel so lucky that I to get to work as a photographer in the Fraser Valley, telling stories, catching light, getting enormously giddy about wildflower fields - and I would love to photograph you.
